Tianna's No. 2 may be the signature hole on the 18-hole golf course, but most of the recent comments are coming from people praising the new lay-out for the third hole.
Construction of the new par-four, which now measures 355 yards from the back tees, compared to only 271 before, began last fall and was completed this spring. A vision for the new design has been discussed for at least 20 years, but thanks to the Capitol Campaign held the last couple of years, thousands of dollars was raised to pay for construction.
Scott Hoffman, the course superintendent at Madden's on Gull Lake, designed the new hole with father and son duo John and Mike Rardin of Rardin Excavating in Brainerd hired to do the major construction that included moving tons of earth.
