Below is an interview with Caleb Turbett the Director of Golf at Christmas Mountain Village. The following are a few traditional and non traditional golf centric questions that I love to ask influential people in the golf industry.

Can you provide our readers a brief biography?
My first job was at Christmas Mountain working in the bag room at age 14. When I was 15, I moved to the bag room at Trappers Turn where I stayed for 12 years, leaving as Head Golf Professional. In 2010, I accepted the position of Director of Golf at Christmas Mountain. I started at Oak Glen mid-season in 2012.

When did you start golfing and who introduced you do the game?
My grandfather introduced me to the game at age 3 by hitting balls in the backyard. I started playing on the course with him and my dad when I was 5 and never looked back.

What is your current home course?
Christmas Mountain Village

To date, what is your proudest golf accomplishment?
Professionally, my proudest accomplishment would be gaining my Class A status in January. On the course, it would have to be not missing one tournament in all four years I played at Winona State.

What is your biggest golf pet peeve on or off the course?
Driving your cart through a no-mow area!

What is your favorite club in your bag and why?
Probably driver. I like to hit it on every hole and if it's a good day with the driver, I will play well.

What is your favorite golf destination?
I haven't been to very many yet, so I will have to say Kohler.

What course is on your bucket list that you have not played yet?
Obviously, Augusta. A more realistic one would be St. Andrews, Pebble or Sawgrass.

If you woke up tomorrow and could play one course you played before, where would you play?
Whistling Straits (Straits course)

If you could change one aspect, rule or thing about golf, what would it be and why?
Tee It Forward is a great initiative. I see far too many players playing from the wrong set of tees. The game is not meant to be played hitting 3 woods into every par 4.
